West Seattle monorail stop will be park, pub
Bar owner, city team up to buy dead project's land

There'll be no new monorail to West Seattle but there could be a new park near Morgan Junction, where a train station was to be located. And a well-known neighborhood pub could end up right next to it.

Ah, grasshopper, I see you have your favorite microbrew in hand. C'mon, join me at my Stammtisch, and we'll tip a glass together. It's great having to choose among all those taps, isn't it? And yet, t'wasn't always so. So clear your mind, and set the Wayback Machine to a time when that nice little thicket of taps, that wonderful selection of fresh, local beer that you take for granted, just plain didn't exist.

...  Joined a rather more solemn gathering at the Beveridge Place Pub a couple of weekends before that. Lorraine Jensen, one of the staff, had become well known to the pub's regulars, and we'd followed her progress last year after she and partner Michael Gay learned that she was pregnant, giving birth in November to baby girl Meena Cecelia, the apple of her parents' eye. Meena fell victim to SIDS, regarded as the worst tragedy parents can face.

The owners of the Full Moon Saloon have announced that the name of the establishment has been changed to the Beveridge Place Pub.  West Seattleites Gary Sink and Terri Griffith have owned the Full Moon for over a year, but recently decided to adopt a new name for their place.  The name Beveridge Place Pub more accurately reflects the evolution of our place from tavern to alehouse, a comfortable local that emphasizes quality ales and lagers.
